Tom Krüger

Co-Founder & CEO

Tom Krüger co-founded CarOnSale in 2018 after gaining experience in investment banking, private equity, and management consulting at Boston Consulting Group (2017-2019). He previously worked as a Venture Architect at BCG Digital Ventures in London and held internships at Morgan Stanley (M&A), Cinven, and General Atlantic. He is responsible for strategic direction and investor relations.

Oguz Özgüler

Co-Founder & CCO (Chief Commercial Officer)

Oguz Özgüler comes from a family that founded a used car dealership in Nuremberg in the 1970s. He opened his own used car dealership in 2011 and began trading on early marketplace platforms. His first-hand experience with challenges in the car dealership industry inspired the idea for CarOnSale. As CCO, his deep insights into the automotive industry are crucial to the company's market leadership in the EU.

Fabian D. Roth

Co-Founder & CTO (Chief Technology Officer)

Fabian Roth co-founded CarOnSale in 2018 after working as a Software Engineer in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America in Silicon Valley (2017-2018). He studied Information Systems at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and dropped out of his PhD program in 2019 when CarOnSale received seed funding. As CTO, he is the architect of the engineering team and drives innovation. He also developed the early code that remains the technological backbone of the platform.

Maximilian Schilling

Co-Founder & COO (Chief Operating Officer)

Maximilian Schilling joined CarOnSale in August 2019 as Head of Business Development & Strategy after working as a Manager at Bain & Company (2018-2019), specializing in Private Equity and Automotive Practices. He was introduced to the founding team by an early investor and was convinced by their vision. He became CCO in December 2020 and COO in November 2022. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Universität St. Gallen in Business Studies and Accounting & Finance.
